Dr.
C. William Colburn directed
the debate team at the University of Michigan while a professor
in speech. He is the author of two books, Strategies for
Educational Debate and Communication and Consensus,
co-authored with Howard Martin. In the early 1970s, Dr. Colburn
was a member of the Ann Arbor City Council, and in the 1980s,
he owned a business called Podium Professionals, which was
the largest speakers' bureau in the Midwest. Most recently,
Dr. Colburn served as the Director of the Alumni Association
at the University of Connecticut. He is now retired.
